Our Story

Khmer Household & Healthcare (KHH) was founded in 2015 and commenced operations in 2016. But it all started earlier when a team of good friends, consisting of Cambodian and Korean nationals who had previously resided in France, returned to Cambodia for a visit. They had the opportunity to explore Angkor Wat, a renowned world heritage site, and were deeply inspired by the exceptional craftsmanship.

During their shopping trips in local markets, they noticed that most personal care and home care products were being imported. This observation sparked a thought in their minds – if other countries can do it, why can’t Cambodia? After all, Cambodia has a rich history of creativity and innovation as evidenced by the magnificent Angkor Wat and numerous other cultural treasures. It was disheartening to see such potential go untapped, with even everyday household items having to be imported. Why couldn’t Cambodia do better?

This inspiration served as the driving force behind the establishment of KHH. The co-founders, Mr. Pengky Sang and Mr. Hoon Lee, brought together their respective expertise and experiences to make this vision a reality. Mr. Sang, being a Cambodian with international experience, understood the local culture and needs. On the other hand, our Korean co-founder Mr. Lee possessed extensive knowledge and experiences in beauty and personal care products.

KLEN, SAAT, LOR brands were born. The names are local Khmer words which not only sound pleasant and straightforward but also have beauty-related meaning. The brands encompass a wide range of personal care and home care products such as shampoo, shower gel, intimate wash, handwashing liquid, sanitizer gel, detergent, disinfectant spray, and more.

From a humble beginning in a rented venue, KHH has steadily grown and now operates its own manufacturing facilities in Phnom Penh with an ISO 9001-2015 certification. KHH is dedicated to crafting premium local goods that adhere to international benchmarks. By leveraging Korean know-how and technology and operating under international protocols, KHH ensure the delivery of reliable and quality products developed by a team of industry experts with more than three decades of experiences.

The founders bring their personal values of respect and empathy to the business. KHH actively participates in social contribution and charitable activities. Moreover, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company refrained from exploiting the crisis for profit. Their healthcare products performed exceptionally well at the time, but unlike other companies that raised prices, KHH chose to maintain a reasonable price for its consumers.

KHH’s slogan, “Better Choice, Better Life”, reflects a commitment to offering high-quality products that contribute to consumer well-being.
